I am aware of the fact that ebrite also denotes an Allegheny Ludlum ( I happen to live in this company's neck of the woods ) alloy which is why I asked jim Evans whether or not he was referring to the ebrite plating process. I agree with your recommendation of the ASM Handbook Volume 9 titled as Metallography and Microstructures. For all you aspiring metallographers out there, it is one a kind comprehensive reference source (775 pages ) with a "ton" of macro and microstructural illustrations pertaining to both ferrous and non-ferrous alloys.
