you can polish the Zircaloy with the same method as for alloy titanium:
(P180, P320, P800, P1200, Diamond 6 and 1 µm), (OPS 100ml (alumina 0,025 µm: struers for example) with HF 2 ml,H2O2(30 vol)8 ml) without load and 5 min on microcloth (Buehler for example)
