What's the length of parts you try to cut?

Assuming the saw shaft not worn and the blade clamped properly, a saw with 10" blade should be able to cut without seizing. Check how the sample was clamped. Slight movement of samples creates a lot of resistance. If the sample was clamped on the convex surface, it can move. If it was clamped on the flat ends of the part, depending on the length of part, the blade contact length may be too long.

Try resin-bond blades. If you can get a slightly thinner blade, that helps sometimes.

For a long part, perhaps EDM-cut it and grind off a lot of material from the cut surface.
