Hello,
I used Barker's reagent to see the microstructure of pure aluminum. Although it showed the microstructure in reasonable way, I would like to see the color etched microstructure of pure aluminum. So I tried Beraha's tint etchant which was recommended for Aluminum alloy. But it did not work well.
Beraha's tint etchant is not appropriate for pure aluminum? Or do I need to etch 2 times(first Barker's reagent and then etch that with Beraha's tint etchant)?
Thank you.
